There are household robots(robot that does cleaning), security robots and many others. However now, a team of researcher at Hsinchu-based National Chiao Tung University(NCTU) has developed a unique robot that equipped with "digital vision system" that gives the robot the ability to recognize his own master not just by the face but by the gesture.

The cool part of this robot is that it can judge the person's health from it's facial expression, and proceed to fetch medicine, telephone or another person in the home to provide aid. This robot was clearly designed for the elderly, which have difficulty in caring themselves. NCTU added that this robot can also distinguish between intruders and family members with just a scan on their system, and it can chase them away while taking the pictures of them for further prosecution. WOW, the new terminator. NCTU said that this robot will be available on the market soon.

Via: Robot Gossip

Roboboa Are For Real

According to some sources, Roboboa that was display at CES was real.
